 GPSR: General Product Safety Regulations

Terms and Conditions for Fossil Dinosaur Collectibles (in compliance with UK and International Laws)

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern the sale, collection, and preservation of fossils, including dinosaur fossils and other prehistoric specimens (the "Items"), by VOSSO®, a company engaged in the trade and distribution of rare and scientifically significant fossil specimens. By purchasing or acquiring any Item from us, you agree to these Terms. These Terms form a binding legal agreement between the buyer and VOSSO®.

2. Exemption of Fossils as Collectibles under International and UK Law
All Items provided by VOSSO® are considered collectible items of extraordinary age and scientific significance, including, but not limited to, meteorites, crystals and fossils from all geological periods. These Items are preserved and considered as extremely rare, historically and scientifically valuable specimens of scientific interest for study and art collections that justifies all collectives and their preservation is exempt from GPSR under VOSSO®.

International laws and agreements, including but not limited to:

UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export, and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property (1970),
European Union Regulation (EU) 2019/880 on the import of cultural goods, and
The Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (1954), ensure that cultural property is protected and properly regulated for preservation and scientific study. However, these laws generally do not apply to privately owned fossil specimens that are considered rare, scientifically valuable, and removed from any active archaeological or cultural heritage context.
Our business ensures that all Items are legally acquired, are not subject to any international illicit trade agreements, and comply with international conventions that protect cultural property. The Items are preserved solely as collectibles or for scientific and educational purposes, and not as items of archaeological or cultural heritage in the traditional sense.

These Items are excluded from the typical regulatory frameworks surrounding archaeological finds, as they are regarded as non-commercial scientific specimens and not objects subject to cultural heritage protections or artifacts under international law.

3. Preservation, Scientific Interest, and Handling
Items sold by VOSSO® are recognised as rare, historically significant, and scientifically valuable, and are therefore exempt from the usual commercial product regulations. They are sold exclusively as collectibles and are not to be used for commercial exploitation or sale outside their intended use as items of scientific study or private collection.

All fossils and other prehistoric specimens are intended for study, display, and preservation. Any sale is understood to be for the purpose of maintaining these specimens as a part of private collections, or for educational institutions, and not for any commercial trade beyond the realm of personal or institutional scientific interests.

In compliance with the UNESCO Convention and similar international cultural protection laws, these Items are not considered illicit trade goods and are excluded from any restrictions typically imposed on more modern or culturally sensitive objects. Our handling of these items complies with relevant local and international guidelines for the collection, preservation, and transportation of rare and scientifically significant specimens.

4. Shipping and Distribution (UK and International)
By purchasing an Item, the buyer acknowledges that VOSSO® reserves the right to ship fossils and other rare specimens directly to the European Union (EU), Northern Ireland (NI), and other international markets without needing a representative in the buyer’s jurisdiction. We comply with all applicable international trade laws and export regulations, ensuring that no Item is part of any illegal trade or conflict zone, as stipulated by international conventions and UK laws on the import and export of cultural goods.

We maintain full compliance with:

The UK’s International Trade in Cultural Goods Regulations,
International Laws governing the protection of fossils (e.g., those preventing the illicit trade of fossils or specimens that have been illegally excavated or removed from protected sites), and
All UN and EU regulations governing the export of cultural goods, as well as international fossil trade agreements.

5. Returns and Faults (Legal Compliance)
All sales are final. Due to the nature of the Items as rare and fragile specimens, returns are not typically accepted. Any claims regarding defects or faults must be reported directly to VOSSO® within thirty (30) days of receipt. If the buyer fails to do so within the designated period, no warranty or claims for damages will be entertained.

By purchasing the Item, the buyer acknowledges that the Terms require claims for defective goods to be reported directly to us, and failure to do so may result in the loss of the right to pursue any claims.

6. Limitation of Liability (International Protection)
VOSSO® is not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from the use, collection, or preservation of the Items. This limitation of liability extends to any damages arising from international shipping, handling, or display, provided the Items are not defectively manufactured or otherwise unfit for collection.

The buyer acknowledges that these rare specimens are often delicate and may require special handling or care when being preserved, studied, or displayed. Liability for damages, loss, or any misuse of the items is limited to the purchase price of the Item and any return shipping, as outlined in these Terms.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by UK law, but by purchasing the Items, the buyer acknowledges that all disputes will be resolved in accordance with international trade laws, particularly those relevant to the sale and transfer of rare scientific specimens. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom unless otherwise stipulated under international law.

8. International Compliance
By purchasing any Item, the buyer agrees to comply with international regulations, including the UNESCO and other international protections governing rare and scientifically significant artefacts, which may apply to the jurisdiction in which they are located. The buyer affirms that no Item will be used for illicit purposes or re-exported to any jurisdiction where it may violate applicable laws concerning fossil or artefact trade.

9. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions represent the entire agreement between VOSSO® and the buyer. Any amendments to these Terms must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties.

10. Contact Information
For any questions regarding the legality of these Terms, or to report any issues with an Item, please contact us at info@vosso.co.uk.

By proceeding with the purchase of any Item from VOSSO®, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Terms and Conditions for Fossil Dinosaur Collectibles

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern the sale, collection, and preservation of fossils, specifically dinosaur fossils and other prehistoric specimens (the "Items"), by VOSSO®, a company engaged in the trade and distribution of rare and scientifically significant fossil specimens. By purchasing or acquiring any Item from us, you agree to these Terms. These Terms form a binding legal agreement between the buyer and VOSSO®.

2. Exemption of Fossils as Collectibles
All Items provided by VOSSO® are designated as collectible items of extraordinary age and scientific significance, including but not limited to fossils from the Mesozoic and earlier geological periods. The Items are not intended for commercial exploitation or trade in a manner that would violate applicable laws concerning cultural heritage, archaeological findings, or prohibited artefacts.

These Items are specifically preserved as rare, scientifically valuable pieces that contribute to historical and educational purposes. As such, they are excluded from classification under any legislation that would otherwise regulate archaeological artefacts or biological materials that might fall under restrictions typically applied to more modern or culturally sensitive items.

3. Preservation and Scientific Interest
The Items sold by VOSSO® are, by definition, of extraordinary rarity and scientific importance. This status qualifies them as collectibles and/or specimens for private collection, study, or display. The rarity and historical significance of these Items exempt them from the regulations that would otherwise apply to items of archaeological, cultural, or biological significance.

As an exempt category, these Items are treated as cultural property under the relevant national and international statutes, including but not limited to:

The UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property (1970).
European Union Regulations on the importation of cultural goods (EU Regulation 2019/880).

4. Shipping and Distribution
By purchasing an Item, the buyer acknowledges that VOSSO® reserves the right to distribute and ship fossils, collectibles, and other rare specimens directly to the European Union (EU) and Northern Ireland (NI) without the need for establishing a physical presence or representative within the EU or NI.

We comply with all applicable export and import regulations to ensure that Items are shipped legally, including the verification of the legality of export from our jurisdiction and import into the EU or NI. However, it is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the Items comply with any local restrictions, and VOSSO® bears no responsibility for violations of local regulations once the Item has been delivered.

5. Returns and Faults
All sales of Items are final, as the nature of the goods involves rare and often fragile items which cannot easily be returned or replaced. Any claims regarding defects, faults, or issues with an Item must be reported directly to VOSSO® within thirty (30) days of receipt. Any failure to report such claims within the specified time may result in the voiding of the warranty and exclusion from further recourse.

By accepting these Terms, the buyer acknowledges and agrees that VOSSO® holds the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a claim for faulty goods is valid. If the buyer does not report any defects or issues directly to us in a timely manner, VOSSO® reserves the right to pursue legal action for breach of this agreement, which may include any associated costs related to litigation or other legal measures.

6. Limitation of Liability
VOSSO® is not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use, preservation, display, or collection of the Items, including but not limited to financial loss, loss of value, or damage to property. Our liability is strictly limited to the cost of the Item, provided the Item is returned in accordance with the terms outlined in these conditions.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom. The buyer agrees to resolve disputes in a lawful manner and in accordance with the procedures set out in the relevant jurisdiction.

8. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions represent the entire agreement between VOSSO® and the buyer, superseding any prior agreements or understandings. Any amendments to these Terms must be made in writing and signed by both parties.

9. Contact Information
For any questions or concerns about these Terms, or to report issues regarding an Item, please contact us directly at info@vosso.co.uk.

By proceeding with the purchase of any Item from VOSSO®, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
